FILLING & FINISHING SUPERVISOR FOR METAL INDUSTRY - TUBULAR POLES/HIGH MAST - TILDA , CHHATTISGARH

Job Description:

The Filling & Finishing Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily activities related to product filling, capping, labeling, and final packaging operations. The role ensures that production is carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality standards and operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Production Supervision

• Oversee the filling and finishing operations for various products (liquid, powder, cream, etc.).

• Ensure compliance with daily production plans and shift targets.

• Monitor machine operations and production line performance.

• Minimize downtime through quick resolution of line issues.

✅ Team Management

• Supervise a team of machine operators, line workers, and helpers.

• Allocate manpower based on shift requirements and production demands.

• Train and mentor operators in SOPs, GMP, and safety practices.

• Conduct shift handovers and ensure proper communication across teams.

✅ Quality Control

• Ensure adherence to GMP, SOPs, and in-process quality checks.

• Monitor parameters like fill weight, seal integrity, batch coding, and labeling accuracy.

• Handle line clearance and ensure correct product changeovers.

• Report non-conformities and participate in root cause analysis.

✅ Safety & Compliance

• Enforce the use of PPE and maintain a safe working environment.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

• Report and document any safety incidents or near-misses.

• Participate in audits (internal/external) as required.

✅ Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of production batches, downtime, and shift output.

• Fill out logbooks, checklists, and quality documentation as per GMP requirements.

• Submit daily production and performance reports to the Production Manager.

Qualifications:

🎓 Educational Background:

• ITI (Fitter / Mechanical / Electrical / Packaging) – Minimum

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, or Industrial Engineering – Preferred

🛠 Experience:

• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in a filling/finishing/packaging line

• Prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing setup (pharma/FMCG/cosmetics/food)

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of filling and packaging machinery

• Ability to read and follow SOPs and batch manufacturing records (BMRs)

• Good understanding of quality and safety standards (GMP, ISO, HACCP)

• Team leadership and conflict resolution

• Problem-solving and quick decision-making under pressure

• Basic computer skills (Excel, ERP, SCADA)

Physical Requirements:

• Standing for extended periods

• Lifting or moving moderately heavy components (if required)

• Working in cleanroom or controlled environments (in pharma/cosmetics)

• Production output vs. target

• Downtime percentage

• Product defect/rejection rate

• Line changeover time

• Team attendance and efficiency

• Compliance during audits (internal or external)
