Job Description:
A Welder-Mechanical job involves interpreting blueprints and plans, operating welding equipment to join and repair metal parts according to specifications, and inspecting finished work for quality and safety compliance. Key duties include material preparation (cutting, grinding), performing various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, arc) in different positions (flat, vertical, overhead), maintaining equipment, and collaborating with other trades for efficient project completion. Strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and adherence to safety standards are essential qualifications for this role.
Key Responsibilities

Reading & Interpreting Documents:Analyzing blueprints, technical drawings, and written instructions to understand project requirements.

Material Preparation:Cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal surfaces to prepare them for welding.

Quality Control:Inspecting welded components to ensure they are free from defects and meet industry specifications and standards.

Equipment Maintenance:Performing routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools to ensure they are in proper working order and safe to use.

Collaboration:Coordinating with other team members and crews to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.
