Job Description:
A DRI (Direct Reduced Iron) Shift Incharge is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a DRI plant during their shift, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining safety protocols, and managing personnel. They monitor plant performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient production of DRI.
Key Responsibilities:

Production Management:Overseeing daily production activities, planning tasks, and assigning work to team members.

Process Monitoring:Continuously monitoring plant performance indicators, identifying deviations, and implementing corrective actions to optimize efficiency and quality.

Safety and Environmental Compliance:Ensuring adherence to safety regulations and environmental standards during the shift.

Equipment Maintenance:Monitoring equipment performance, coordinating maintenance activities, and minimizing downtime.

Team Leadership:Supervising and motivating the shift team, fostering communication, and ensuring effective teamwork.

Troubleshooting:Identifying and resolving operational issues and technical problems that arise during the shift.

Documentation and Reporting:Maintaining accurate records of production, equipment performance, and any incidents.
Specific Skills and Experience:
- Experience in DRI/Sponge Iron Production: Candidates typically need experience in the specific processes involved in DRI production.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of plant equipment, including kilns, compressors, and other relevant systems.
- Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve operational issues.
- Team Leadership: Experience in supervising and motivating a team of workers.
