Job Description:
A Fitter is a skilled tradesperson who assembles, installs, and maintains mechanical systems and equipment. They work with precision tools, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure proper alignment and functionality. A Senior Fitter typically has more experience, leadership, and problem-solving skills, often overseeing teams and complex projects.
Fitter Responsibilities:

Assembling and Installing:Fitters assemble components, machinery, and equipment according to blueprints and specifications.

Maintenance and Repair:They perform maintenance and repair work on mechanical systems and equipment, diagnosing issues and replacing faulty parts.

Reading and Interpreting Drawings:Fitters must be able to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to understand project requirements.

Tooling and Equipment:They utilize hand and power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools for fitting, cutting, shaping, and assembling materials.

Welding and Fabrication:Fitters may be required to weld and fabricate components as needed, ensuring proper welds and fit-up.
