SR. FITTER ROUGHING - RAIPUR

• Material Preparation:

  Cutting, shaping, and preparing metal or other materials (like steel or pipe) to rough-out the required shape and size, using tools like shears, power saws, and cutting torches. 

   
• Component Alignment:

  Ensuring components are properly aligned and secured for final assembly, often with a focus on ensuring a good fit-up for welding or other fastening methods. 

   
• Dimensional Checks:

  Verifying dimensions and tolerances of rough-cut components, often using measuring tools to ensure they meet basic specifications. 

   
• Welding Preparation:

  Preparing surfaces for welding, including cleaning and ensuring proper fit-up for weld joints. 

   
• Working with Drawings:

  Interpreting blueprints and technical drawings to understand component requirements and fitting procedures. 

   
• Tooling and Equipment:

  Operating a range of tools and machinery, including hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment used in fitting and fabrication. 

   
• Safety Compliance:

  Following all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to work-site safety rules. 

   
• Collaboration:

  Working closely with other team members, including fitters, welders, and engineers, to ensure project goals are met. 

   
• Troubleshooting:

  Identifying and resolving issues related to fitting and fabrication, often requiring strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

   
• Quality Control:

  Ensuring that fabricated components meet basic quality standards and specifications.

• Senior Fitters often have more experience and take on more complex projects, while Junior Fitters may focus on basic tasks and learning under supervision.
