MECHANICAL HEAD (FERRO & SID) -RAIPUR

Key Responsibilities:

• Mechanical Maintenance Management:

  • Lead the planning and execution of preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance.

  • Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of new mechanical equipment and machinery.

  • Monitor equipment performance and initiate improvements to enhance reliability and reduce downtime.

• Team Leadership & Development:

  • Manage and mentor the mechanical maintenance team, including engineers, supervisors, and technicians.

  • Conduct skill development programs and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

• Budgeting and Cost Control:

  • Prepare and manage the annual maintenance budget.

  • Monitor spare parts inventory and coordinate with the procurement department for timely availability of critical spares.

• Compliance & Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations related to plant maintenance and equipment safety.

  • Implement and promote strict safety practices across maintenance activities.

• Coordination:

  • Collaborate with production, electrical, instrumentation, and project departments for seamless plant operations.

  • Work closely with OEMs, vendors, and service providers for equipment upkeep and technology upgrades.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems used in Sponge Iron and Ferro Alloy plants.

• Hands-on experience in managing rotary kiln maintenance, ID fans, conveyors, and dust extraction systems.

• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

• Familiarity with CMMS or SAP PM module for maintenance tracking.

• Commitment to safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
