Job Summary:

The Electrical Head will be responsible for overseeing all electrical systems and maintenance activities across mining operations, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and compliance. This role involves managing electrical teams, developing preventive maintenance plans, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to minimize downtime and support production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the electrical department across all mining sites.

• Plan, schedule, and oversee electrical maintenance and installations for mining equipment, substations, conveyor systems, and plant facilities.

• Ensure adherence to safety standards, statutory regulations, and company policies.

• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults, ensuring minimal impact on production.

• Oversee the installation and commissioning of new electrical systems and equipment.

• Monitor energy consumption and recommend energy-saving measures.

• Maintain documentation for all electrical systems, including drawings, logs, and inspection reports.

• Coordinate with other departments (Mechanical, Production, HSE, etc.) to ensure seamless operations.

• Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers, technicians, and electricians.

• Liaise with government authorities and ensure compliance with electrical regulations (e.g., DGMS, CEA).

• Prepare annual maintenance budgets and control costs within approved limits.
