Job Description:
A Store Keeper manages all inventory operations, including receiving, inspecting, storing, and distributing materials while maintaining accurate, up-to-date records. They are responsible for organizing the warehouse, tracking stock levels, ensuring safety compliance, and replenishing supplies to support smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Monitor, track, and record inventory levels, performing regular audits to prevent shortages.
- Receiving & Issuing: Receive, unload, inspect for damage, and shelve incoming stock, ensuring proper documentation (e.g., Material Received Report).
- Storage & Organization:
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, utilizing methods like First-In-First-Out (FIFO).
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed logs of incoming/outgoing goods, update inventory management software, and generate daily/monthly reports.
- Procurement Support: Coordinate with procurement teams to order new supplies and manage inventory replenishment.
Requirements & Skills
- Experience: Proven experience as a Store Keeper, Store Manager, or in a similar warehouse/logistics role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in inventory management software/SAP-ERP and basic MS Office.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, move, and organize heavy stock items.
- Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail, time management, and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
