Job Description:
A Traffic In-charge in a logistics company is responsible for overseeing and managing the movement of goods, ensuring efficient and timely delivery. This involves coordinating routes, schedules, and transportation resources, as well as maintaining communication with drivers and stakeholders to resolve any logistical issues.
Key Responsibilities:

Route Planning and Optimization:Determining the most efficient routes for deliveries, considering factors like distance, traffic conditions, and delivery deadlines.

Scheduling and Dispatch:Coordinating the movement of vehicles, scheduling pickups and deliveries, and managing dispatch operations to ensure smooth transportation flow.

Fleet Management:Overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of the company's vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition and compliant with safety regulations.

Communication and Coordination:Maintaining clear communication with drivers, warehouse staff, and other relevant departments to facilitate smooth operations and resolve any transportation-related issues.

Compliance and Safety:Ensuring that all transportation activities adhere to relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies.

Performance Monitoring:Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) related to transportation, such as delivery times, fuel consumption, and cost per delivery, to identify areas for improvement.

Problem Solving:Proactively addressing any delays, damages, or other issues that may arise during transportation, finding solutions to minimize disruptions.

Documentation and Reporting:Maintaining accurate records of shipments, delivery schedules, and other relevant information, and generating reports on transportation performance.
Skills and Qualifications:

Excellent Organizational and Planning Skills:Ability to effectively plan and schedule transportation activities, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and prioritize effectively.

Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills:Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, and other stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
