Job Description:
A Store Officer manages daily store operations, focusing on accurate inventory control, receiving, storing, and dispatching goods, while maintaining records, coordinating with teams (procurement, production), ensuring safety, and generating reports, aiming to optimize stock levels and support organizational needs efficiently. 
 
Key Responsibilities
    • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, conduct regular counts, reconcile discrepancies, implement FIFO, and manage minimum stock requirements to prevent shortages or overstocking.
    • Material Handling: Oversee receiving, storing, labeling, and organizing incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring proper handling to minimize damage.
    • Documentation & Reporting:
       Maintain accurate records (GRNs, issue slips, returns), update inventory software (ERP/Tally), and generate reports for management
      .
  • Coordination: Liaise with procurement for replenishment, production for timely material supply, and vendors for returns/discrepancies.
  • Quality & Safety: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, monitor product quality during storage, and manage expired or damaged goods.
  • Operations: Supervise daily store activities, ensure cleanliness, and coordinate with logistics for shipments. 
Essential Skills & Qualifications
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, computer proficiency (Excel, inventory software), problem-solving, and good communication.
  • Education/Experience: Often requires a Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in inventory/stores management. 
Core Duties in Action
  • Receiving Goods: Verify incoming materials against Purchase Orders and Quality Assurance (QA) acceptance.
  • Issuing Materials: Process Material Requisition Notes (MRNs) and issue parts to work centers accurately.
  • Stock Control: Implement strategies to reduce slow-moving items and manage stock rotation.
  • Software Use: Utilize systems like SAP, Tally, or others for real-time tracking.

  • "Generate daily stock status reports and send to the Store Manager".
  • "Ensure all received items are inspected by QA before being stocked".
  • "Deliver kitted parts to the correct production line and update system records".
